About half of Haiti's 6.5 million people are children.
Accurate statistics are difficult to come by, but it is estimated that 75% of
all children are malnourished to some degree. Approximately 120,000 children
labor as domestics and at least 10,000 children are homeless.
In response to this need, and with the help of caring
individuals like you and the local citizens, the
Clermont Center for Homeless Adolescents was opened in Marchof
2003. Our foundation is presently providing services to 14 youth ages 8 to 12.
The
need for support. Unfortunately, many more children in Jacmel need a home. The
current costs of supporting a child in the Center are substantial.
With as little as $50.00 per month, your donation will help feed an adolescent
for one month.
